Born in Israel in 1970. coming from a Yemenite and Iraqui background. Mosh Ben Ari first discovered music at the age of 16 through the traditional Jewish and ethnic chants that were part of his everyday life. Mosh Ben Ari studied music in many countries like India, the Sahara and Sinai Deserts.

Mosh Ben Ari plays various string instruments such as Guitars, Indian Sarod, Persian Tar, Turkish Jumbush, Moroccan Ginberi and Bass Guitar. In 1997, Mosh Ben Ari founded together with his friends, the world music ensemble ‘SHEVA’. They released 4 albums and continue touring the world, playing dozens of shows in the most prestigious festivals & events. His hit ‘Salaam’ (Peace) with the band was translated and performed by artists and choirs internationally.

At 2001 Mosh’s debut album ‘Ad Elai’ (Upon Me) was released. His second album ‘Derech’ (A Path) was released in 2004 and established Mosh as one of Israel’s foremost singer/songwriter. This album quickly made ‘gold record’. 2006, Mosh’s third album ‘Massa Umattan’ (Wondering and Sharing) made again great success with some wining hits and made ‘gold record’ too, followed by a successful tour for over two years.

Mosh is a pioneer in bringing the’ world music scene’ to the main stream in Israel. Mosh Ben Ari’s music and performances are the celebration of groove & spirit, blending rock, soul, reggae, world music and above all, his rich and unique voice that melts the hearts of so many all around the world.
