Paul Anka back in Israel
One of the biggest teen idols of the late '50s, successful performer, songwriter and recording artist, comes back to Israel after 2 sold-out shows last year.
Following the audience's demand, Anka agreed to come again for another concert on May 29t at Tel Aviv's Nokia Arena. ANKA greatest hits include "You Are My Destiny", "Lonely", "Puppy Love", "Put Your Head on My Shoulder" and "Diana".
Anka has not released any significant albums in recent years, focusing on cover songs, some for modern artists like The Killers. He recently made headlines when it was revealed that he would receive half of the songwriting royalties for Michael Jackson's new song, "This is It."
Anka said the song was originally recorded for his solo album and was eventually performed by a female Brazilian singer. The same song was re-recorded by Jackson before his death.
