Alternative rock band The Pixies are due to arrive this summer for a single concert on June 9 in Tel Aviv. Tickets on sale through Israstage website.

Songwriter Frank Black (guitar/lead vocals), Joey Santiago (guitar), Kim Deal (bass) and David Lovering (drums) formed the band in Boston in 1986.

Their debut album "Come On Pilgrim," in 1987 showcased much of the Pixies' variety and set up their groundbreaking musical style.

Their first LP "Surfer Rosa" (1988) was followed by "Doolittle" (1983), "Bossanova" (1990) and "Trompe le Monde" (1991). They disbanded in 1993 but reunited in 2004.
