After wining top prizes at the International Mandolin Award, the International Calace Competition, the Jerusalem Academy Competition for String Instruments, The Jerusalem Academy Chamber Music Competition, the Monart Center Competitions, the Serni Foundation Competitions, and several more - Mandolinist Alon Sariel is making his name as one of the world wide leading mandolin players.

Sariel Performed widely in Israel, Europe and the Far East as member of ensembles and orchestras such as Daniel Barenboim's West Eastern Divan, the Royal Estudiantina La Napolitaine, has participated, playing and lecturing, in important international festivals world wide as founder of The Jerusalem Baroque Trio (The Israeli Early Music Project) and Duo Sariel Ghilione. Sariel performes regularly as soloist with most of the orchestras in Israel and under the baton of conductors such as Paul Biss, Doron Solomon, Vag Papian and Menachem Nevenhois. He collaborates with artists such as the jazz and intuitive music artist Markus Stockhausen, gives master classes at prestigious schools such as the Trinity College of Music (London), has performed live on BBC and has recorded for labels such as Albany records (UK).

Alon Sariel is a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance where he studied mandolin, lute and orchestra conducting. He has studied orchestra directing and the Arch lute at the Brussels Royal Conservatory. While serving in the IDF on a special "outstanding musician" status, Sariel was a member of the Jewish-Arab youth orchestra and was invited by Jeunesses Musicales to take part in Ethno Cyprus 05 with other representative musicians from the Middle East countries. Today he is a member of the West Eastern Divan Orchestra conducted by Daniel Barenboim with whom he performed in festivals such as Salzburg Festival, Lucerne Festival and the London Proms.
