Bernstein, who established the AVI CHAI Foundation in 1984. Bernstein was extremely active on behalf of the Jewish people in Israel and abroad, motivated by Zionism and love for his fellow Jews. AVI CHAI supports many different projects that involve wide-ranging, original activity in its fields of interest. It operates in Israel, the United States, and the former Soviet Union.
